    While Corfu Town itself doesn't have large sandy beaches, a few pleasant spots for swimming and sea access are within walking distance:

    • Faliraki (Alekos Beach) lies just beneath the Old Fortress. This small pebbly beach is one of the most reachable swimming spots from the town center.

    • Kontra Fossa is a quiet pebbled cove at the foot of the Old Fortress, offering more seclusion for a dip. Corfu Diary

    • Inside the Old Fortress, on the eastern side near the Corfu Sailing Club, there’s a small stretch of shoreline where guests can swim with views of Vido Island.

    For longer beach days or more facilities (sunbeds, cafés, clearer stretches of sand), guests often travel a short distance by car or public transport to beaches along the northern Corfu coast (for example, Ipsos or Dassia are about 20 minutes north of Corfu Town).
